An Introduction to Hearing Loss

Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals face unique problems regarding communication and determining the best way to access education. Once a hearing loss is diagnosed, it is often referred to as Mild, Moderate, Severe or Profound. Each of these classifications has unique attributes and will impact the way the individual functions in a classroom. I have located a series of excellent resources that examines each of these classification levels.
