Lance Middle School wants to help in Africa. Each year in Africa 1,000,000 people are killed by malaria. Almost 90% of those fatalities are children in Sub-Saharan Africa and 71% are children under five. In the poorest parts of the world, where effective window screens are lacking, insecticide-treated bed nets are arguably the most cost-effective way to prevent malaria transmission. One bed net costs just $10 to buy and deliver to individuals in need. One bed net can safely last a family for about four years, thanks to a long-lasting insecticide woven into the net fabric.
Join the Team-Donate
We have created a team for Lance Middle School. Our school goal is to raise $5,000 or 500 nets for people in Africa. When you purchase a net by donating $10 to Nothing But Nets, we would appreciate you donating it under Lance Middle School's name. You can do this by following the directions below. If you are unable to donate online, you can place you donation in our donation box in the Lance Middle School library and we will submit your donation for you.
1- Go to the nothingbutnets.org website.
2- Click on create / join a team on the right hand side of the page under Buy A Net. Wait for the page to fully load.
3- On the new page click on find a netraiser team.
4- Type lance lightning where it asks for a team name.
5- Click on lance lightning highlighted in red.
6- Click donate to this team, and then just fill out the information like normal. For the organization part, type in nothing but nets.
Lets make a difference and buy as many nets as we can!
